Our mission at Shepherdstown Sweet Shop is to make the best bread for you, your family and friends. Our bakers use attention and care in every step. We only use the finest ingredients in every loaf.

Each loaf is shaped by hand, using high levels of water, and a long ferment which results in beautiful flavors, textures and improving digestibility. We think that you'll agree, these extraordinary loaves add enjoyment to every meal.

English Muffin Bread - Everything you love about English Muffins is waiting for you in this loaf of perfectly toastable English Muffin Bread. It's full of nooks and crannies, making it perfect for Toasting, French Toast, or Grilled Cheese

Pumpernickel Bread - Dark and rich, this loaf is made with wheat flour and real pumpernickel flour- which is a lot rarer than you'd think. I'll go our on a limb and say it's probably the best pumpernickel in the Eastern Panhandle of WV

Sourdough Bread - A very soft old classic bread, perfect for your favorite sandwich or just toasted. Shepherdstown Sweet Shop Sourdough will stay fresh at room temperature for 2-3 days if kept away from heat and humidity

Tomato Rosemary Bread - A lovely, light-textured loaf, with little surprise bits of dried tomato throughout

Sunflower Bread - Organic Sunflower Seed Bread. With whole rye kernels. Sunflower seeds are true anti-fatigue miracles. The ideal snack for the workplace

Six Grain Bread - One of our best selling breads! Contains 6 wholesome grains that we mix together ourselves. It's moist with a coarse texture and nutty flavor. The whole grains in this bread make it a healthy selection. We offer this in a 2 pound loaf or a 1 pound roll

Pumpernickel Raisin Bread - Great in the fall around Thanksgiving or anytime of the year, our moist pumpernickel raisin is packed with flavor and raisins

Caraway Onion Rye Bread - Loaded with ground and whole caraway seeds. We've put plenty of whole caraway seeds into and on top of this loaf. If you like caraway, you're in for a treat

German Black Bread - Rustic wholegrain bread from the area of Northern Germany. 100 % Rye makes this bread also a great choice for people with a wheat Gluten allergy.

Our breads are backed by over 35 years of experience

and dedication to quality. We use whole grain flours

and no artificial preservatives. Because of the wide variety

of breads we make, not all are available all the time,

but most can be ordered with just a few days’ notice.
